Hiking around Maria Alm
Hiking paradise Hochkönig. Over the mountains, through green forests with stunning views into the alpine world of stone and rocks.

The Hochkönig region is also big in ball game. Nearby, just around the corner from Maria Alm in direction Saalfelden, you can swing your drivers and gold clubs. On the Golfcourt Urslautal you'll find perfect conditions for playful Golfgame. The setting in front of the mountain range "Steinernes Meer" is outstanding. Par 71 is fun and challenging at the same time.
Friends of the red sands and the yellow felt-ball can match at the tennis court "Erlebnispark Sommerstein". A few hundred meters outside of Maria Alm this Tennis court also offers great views to the Steinernes Meer mountain range and into the surrounding alpine world.

Too hot for games and sports?
So it is time for cooling down. The public pool of Maria Alm is also located in the Erlebnispark Sommerstein. Right beside the tennis courts you can cool down after hard tennis-matches. In the Erlebnisbad Sommerstein everybody can feel well. On the 40 meters water slide you can break some speed records. In the stream-channel, at the "Blubbers", the showers or the massage-area you can relax easily. Kids like the litte creek, the kids' pool or the playground.

Maria Alm also has an adventure mountain. This one can be seen from the Moserwirt - it is located right outside the village. What makes a hill to an adventure mountain? For example a Forest-Rope-Park "Waldseilgarten". Guides take you through special parcours and you can show, that you are not afraid of height. Highlights are a 120 meters long Flying Fox and the 14 meters "King Swing" - free fall is the right word for that.
Those you want to take it easy, enjoy the Natrun differently. If you are interested in nature, you can follow the forest-exploration-path and get to know the alpine ecosystem. The path takes you from the Natrunhöhe over many interesting stops, to the Jufenalm. There you can find cool animals in a compound. The animals look forward to meeting you.

Is the weather not cooperating?
Still than, nobody gets bored in the Hochkönig region. Climbing fans can check out the indoor-climbing-hall "Felsenfest" in Saalfelden. A boulder room and routes in all levels are perfect for indoor-climbing days. The city of Saalfelden is perfect for a shopping or a sightseeing day - numerous shops and cafes make that easy. If you are interested in nature and technique, go and check out the nationalpark center in Mittersill. Many cool facts and interesting news about the Nationalpark Hohe Tauern are waiting for you. Always worth a drive is the Großglockner High-Alpine-Road and the High-Alpine-Reservoirs high above Kaprun. There you can learn a lot about alpine nature and technical development.
